Peterson has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Technology to join the IT team. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer & Senior Vice President, Operations, the Director, Technology is responsible for leading the strategic direction, planning, development and implementation of technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support the overall business goals of Peterson. This role focuses on optimizing operations through enterprise applications, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, cloud-based platforms, and data management systems.

The ideal person has deep knowledge of data architecture, modern IT infrastructure, AI acumen and is experienced with leading a team to deliver impactful, scalable solutions. The successful candidate leads through influence with a proven ability to work cross functionally to uncover opportunities and co-create solutions where technology because a shared enabler of business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with department leaders to identify opportunities for automation and new applications that enhance workflows and existing systems;
• Leading a technology strategy and roadmap that is aligned with business goals;
• Leading digital transformation and adoption of applications and cloud platforms to drive efficiency and scalability;
• Staying informed on emerging technology trends and innovations, focusing on applications within real estate; and
• Designing solutions that leverage AI and predictive analytics for market forecasting and investment strategies.
• Overseeing the optimization of real estate specific platforms (e.g. Yardi, Procore, CRM etc.);
• Leading the implementation of data management and reporting systems to support business decisions in relation to condo sales, lease rates, construction costs, etc.;
• Managing and maintaining storage backup solutions and methodologies;
• Ensuring a secure, scalable and high-performance network to reinforce maximum uptime and reliability;
• Working with the internal IT team to implement and continuously improve cybersecurity measures;
• Enforcing and overseeing technology standards, practices and policies that affect IT security and governance and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations;
• Working with the team to establish and improve processes and procedures for optimum internal efficiencies and to govern how employees interact with tenants, owners and other departments;
• Guiding the IT team in adopting change management best practices; ensuring effective rollout of new systems;

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT/Technology roles, with leadership or senior management experience;
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-level technology initiatives and digital transformation projects;
• Deep knowledge of enterprise applications, data architecture, security systems, cloud platforms, Microsoft, servers, networks, and modern IT infrastructures;
• Knowledge of network and communication protocols and databases;
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts;
• Leading and planning the execution of complex technology projects from initiation through delivery;
• Strong communication skills and ability to question and understand user’s needs and issues;
• Proven hands-on systems and network architectural design, implementation, and documentation skills; and
• Strong financial acumen for IT budgeting, procurement and vendor negotiations;

Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000 per annum based on experience
