About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Environmental Manager with strong expertise in erosion and sediment control (ESC) to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing environmental compliance across various project sites throughout Canada. You’ll work with ESC plans, lead inspection teams, and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the implementation and inspection of erosion and sediment control plans across active sites.
  • Manage and coordinate environmental inspectors to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and project teams to resolve compliance issues and maintain transparency.
  • Review and maintain accurate environmental documentation including inspection reports, incident logs, and site assessments.
  • Train site personnel and subcontractors on environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the planning and execution of environmental risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in environmental management, with a strong focus on erosion and sediment control.
  • Designation such as CISEC, CESSWI, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial ESC regulations (e.g., Fisheries Act, CEPA, provincial water/land use policies).
  • Proven experience managing field teams and environmental compliance programs in construction, civil infrastructure, or land development.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
