Job Description: The Resort Services Operations team is responsible for the seamless planning, organizing and execution of daily, weekly, and seasonal events, as well as providing support to the Resort Services Department in various capacities to ensure guest satisfaction and safety. This role requires a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Position Requirements/Skills:
- Proven self-motivation with the ability to work well with minimum supervision
- Comfortable with public speaking and hosting events
- Experience in planning and delivering events
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
- Previous manual labor experiences are an asset
- Ability to work well within a diverse team environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- British Columbian Driver’s License or willingness to obtain
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute all daily, weekly, and seasonal events, including but not limited to Bingo, Carnival, Tubing with the Moose, Moose Cruz, Christmas festivities, and New Year’s celebrations
- Maintain and control event supplies and inventory
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless event delivery and guest experience
- Set up and maintain all equipment for events and mountain requirements including audio, games, tents, etc.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness, perform routine building maintenance, and provide comprehensive support to guests, prioritizing their safety and satisfaction at all times
- Assist in the timely and efficient removal of snow and ice to ensure the safety and accessibility of all resort areas for guests and staff
- Monitor and restock supplies in common areas, ensuring all amenities are available and clean at all times
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Conduct mascot appearances as required during events and day-to-day resort operations
- Uphold the highest standards of internal and external customer service at all times
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg
- Kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching may be required
- Work outdoors in cold conditions when necessary
