The Role
Contributes to the overall success of Retail Banking in Caribbean Region by creating business reporting, executive presentations and collaborating with other countries on data inputs required to develop and execute Business Strategies, Plans and Priority Initiatives in the Region by working with multiple stakeholders across International Banking. Analyze and evaluate retail business data from each country in Caribbean to ensure data integrity and alignment of all information. Working with IB Retail and Strategy teams to ensure retail goals alignment and reporting for the region. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The Role

Analyze and evaluate retail business data from each country in Caribbean to ensure data integrity and alignment of all information. Working with IB Retail and Strategy teams to ensure retail goals alignment and reporting for the region. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Combine data from different sources to create a comprehensive view of business performance and identify key insights, potential problems and opportunities.
- Translates data into actionable business strategies, synthesize insights, and communicate effectively to drive informed decision-making across the organization.
- Generates and analyzes retail execution data and reports across countries to ensure integrity of cumulative CCA retail data report.
- Combines data from different data sources (data marts, excel, among others) to integrate a combined CCA level reporting in excel and Power BI format. SQL required.
- Connects regional data mart tables to excel and extracts information required.
- Structures required executive reporting and works with multiple countries and stakeholders across the CCA to develop, receive and deliver such reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Assists with preparing the executive presentations by creating ways to visually present the required data in a meaningful way.
- Collaborates with IB Consumer and Small Business and IB strategy stakeholders to ensure CCA targets and reporting is aligned with their expectations and delivers such reporting to them on timely basis.
- Manages strategic focus and execution maintaining with a clear understanding of Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Measures sales & service performance in the Caribbean countries by providing continuous performance measurements against annual scorecard and sales performance to, and discussing business opportunities with, local retail sales leadership.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Master’s degree in Analytics, Business, related field
- SQL expert
- Expert in Power BI
- Expert in Excel, excel formulas (vlookup, match, index, pivot tables), and attributes, references, etc.
- Proven capacity to work with different groups of stakeholders and manage multiple tasks
- Expert communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience in working with financials and business cases
- Strong understanding of Retail business line and related metrics
- General understanding of how to work with data from servers, data mart mapping, and other data sources
- Strong understanding of Retail related operational processes and controls, including knowledge of organization and infrastructure.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
