Full Stack Team Lead

As the Full stack Team Lead, you will join a talented, multidisciplinary team building breakthrough solutions that enhance flight operations, mission planning, and real-time data visualization. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping user-facing mobile systems and backend services, combining technical depth with strong leadership and execution capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of Full stack and backend engineers throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on user experience, operational reliability, and technical excellence.
• Architect and maintain the Pegasus mobile application and backend services with scalability, security, and modularity in mind.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, firmware, and systems engineering—to ensure end-to-end integration with mission-critical systems.
• Design and implement mobile solutions that are performant in constrained and field-operational environments.
• Drive UI/UX decisions grounded in cockpit usability and crew workflow constraints.
• Establish and enforce mobile DevOps best practices, automated testing, and validation.
• Support deployment of applications via Apple Business Manager and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018).
• Provide hands-on technical contributions, review code, and uphold high engineering standards across front-end and back-end layers.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide technical guidance and performance feedback to front-end and back-end engineers, supporting their growth and development.
• Lead the team in building secure, reliable, and scalable systems that integrate with embedded and cloud platforms.
• Represent Pegasus in technical discussions across stakeholders and contribute to the definition of mobile platform strategy.
• Drive architecture discussions, enforce engineering best practices, and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of key technical talent.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of iOS development experience using Swift (UIKit, SwiftUI).
• Proven backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Deep understanding of secure communication protocols, encryption, and authentication methods (e.g., OAuth2).
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and hardware-integrated data streams.
• Proficiency in designing APIs, working with SQL/NoSQL databases, and architecting distributed microservices.
• Demonstrated leadership and experience guiding cross-functional software teams.
• Expertise in agile methodologies, code reviews, and product-centric delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or automotive.
• Exposure to aviation systems including flight planning, weather visualization, or alerting tools.
• Familiarity with MapKit, Charts, or ARKit for spatial and visual data rendering.
• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with SDK development.
