Manufacturing Systems Analyst:


The Manufacturing Systems Analyst provides technical expertise in supporting standard and customized SAP S/4 HANA Production Planning (PP) module and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions, primarily with BPCS and Camstar MES. The Manufacturing Systems Analyst gives support to operations end users on SAP S/4 HANA PP module, MES and provide local customized solutions.


The Analyst collaborates with the IT team and external suppliers on projects, changes, and daily project activities. They support in proposing and defining optimal solutions for new developments, changes, and configurations. Additionally, the Analyst is responsible for testing and troubleshooting to ensure smooth implementation.


The incumbent is responsible for managing tickets and performing daily maintenance of the SAP S/4 HANA PP module and MES solutions. This role proactively develops new features for existing systems and address bugs. Additionally, the Analyst monitors and prioritizes support ticket queues, troubleshoots issues promptly, and provides essential support and training to users at all levels within the organization.


Essential Functions:


  • Drive all stages of the delivery and support lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Drive business outcomes by implementing IT projects that align with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, anticipating their needs and providing effective solutions.
  • Drive and support the implementation of the IT strategy roadmap for global solutions to be applied on Saluggia and Vancouver sites.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and compliance.
  • Ensure quality by design and operational efficiency in the configuration and deployment of applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and senior business leaders to identify and optimize key processes.
  • Detect and address problems, analyze trends, and anticipate future requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Manufacturing IT application issues at the sites.
  • Quickly adapt to and apply new skills and technologies (Industry 4.0/Internet of Things, SAP S/4 HANA, MES).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:


  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations and business processes.
  • Proven expertise in implementing IT and automation projects within complex IT landscapes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build trust, demonstrating a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong technology orientation, uphold the highest personal and professional standards and integrity.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.
  • Possess exceptional personal prioritization skills and demonstrate flexibility in adapting plans as needed.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing projects and support, with experience in 1-2 full cycle implementations preferred, or equivalent experience.
