RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Cardiovascular Health Across the Lifespan

Introduction And Role

Perform simple bioinformatics analyses using tools available on the internet to identify clinical traits and risk factors that may contribute to aortic stenosis.

General Duties

  • Responsible for entering and maintaining patient information and genetic data in internal databases with high attention to detail.
  • Will assist in coordinating communication with patients and external collaborators, including scheduling and follow-up.
  • Expected to support general tasks such as document preparation, data organization, and responding to routine inquiries.
  • Entry-level position in bioinformatics and data analysis.
  • Will work in close collaboration with other members of the team as they develop their analytical skill set.
  • Have knowledge of the fundamentals of molecular biology to inform their bioinformatics and genetic data analysis to answer specific scientific questions.
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records.

Additional information

Status : Full-Time, Temporary (8-week position)

Pay Scale: 18.00$/hour.

Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
