The Role

Our client is a well recognized Canadian manufacturer and distributor of high end retail goods across retailers in Canada and the USA. This is a newly created role that will report into the VP of finance, and will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Maintain and analyze standard costs (materials, labor, freight, etc.).
• Identify cost variances and support pricing/profitability models.
• Collaborate with operations to improve cost efficiency.
• Support inventory valuation and cost reporting.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Deliver variance and margin analysis at detailed levels.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred or in progress
• 3+ years in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing
• Solid grasp of standard costing, inventory, and variance analysis
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills
• Clear communicator, able to simplify complex financial concepts
