Our Corporate Finance team is growing, and we’re seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to play a key role in our consolidated financial reporting and analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values continuous learning, flexibility, and career development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare monthly, and quarterly internal consolidated financial and management reporting on a timely basis
- Prepare the day-to-day accounting for the Corporate Services Group entity and execute a disciplined monthly close process
- Prepare working papers, reports and other documentation for the annual external financial statement and pension plan audit and engage with external auditors as required
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and review intercompany postings
- Ensure the compliance and enhancement of internal controls and financial processes
- Administer tax accounts and correspond with tax agencies
- Assist the treasury team with cash management and reporting
- Research accounting and tax issues, writing policy memorandums and identifying accounting standard and tax updates
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Other duties as assigned
- Post-secondary education in commerce/accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferably in a large or mid-size accounting firm
- CPA designation or completion within 12 months of hire
- Completion of the CFE exam is required
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting is a strong asset
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with attention to detail
- Experience or interest in corporate tax is an asset
