ERP Support Specialist

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented ERP Support Specialist to provide technical support, training, and maintenance for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system throughout the Swegon North America organization. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between end-users, technical teams, and management to ensure smooth operation and optimal utilization of the ERP system. The incumbent will ensure there is alignment between our ERP system (Infor M3), manufacturing workflows, processes in North America, and alignment with Swegon Group IT for best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Support, Training, and Documentation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ERP-related support within the manufacturing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP system issues related to production planning, inventory control, shop floor execution, procurement, and logistics.
  • Support production scheduling, bill of materials (BOM), routings, and work order processes within the ERP system.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and warehouse teams to ensure system configurations and data accuracy reflect actual operations.
  • Train end-users on ERP functionality specific to manufacturing operations and best practices.
  • Create and maintain user documentation, work instructions, and training materials tailored to shop floor personnel and office staff.

Business Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs, pain points, and system requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system development or enhancement.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase efficiency.
  • Recommend system-based solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Stay current with new system features, industry trends, and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.

Testing & Validation

  • Lead or support system upgrades, configuration changes, and rollouts across departments.
  • Develop test plans and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality against business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues, document bugs, and coordinate resolution with developers or vendors.

System Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure business systems are aligned with company policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and participate in audits or compliance reviews as needed.
  • Project Participation
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects involving system changes or integrations.
  • Track milestones, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in ERP support or business systems administration.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of business processes such as finance, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
