We are currently looking for a System Operations Administrator to join our busy and growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting directly to the VP of Customer Experience, the SysOp Admin (System Operations Administrator) will manage and maintain customer-facing Romet platforms and software, providing technical customer support, training, and guidance in the area of Enterprise Solutions. This position does not have any direct reports.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage AWS Configuration, user, and security management, monitor the system performance
- Manage AWS Certificate issuance and distribution
- Provision, setup, maintain, and perform integrations using cloud instances and resources on AWS/ GCP platforms
- Cloud cost monitoring and control
- Interact and engage with customer support to successfully resolve issues pertaining to any Romet software and enterprise solutions
- Support the direct sale, customer care and after sales teams to improve customer satisfaction through all stages of the product life cycle
- Bridge the gap between engineering and customer support
- Plan, organize and manage new installations and customer onboarding
- Implementing security controls and compliance requirements
- Develop and deliver training on customer installed systems and services to a wide array of audiences
- Make independent analysis, interpretations and conclusions on customer explained issues
- Manage, control and drive change requests
- All other projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Understanding of IoT use cases in a large network environment such as data analytics, data visualization, data processing & actions, events monitoring, network maintenance, configuration, and firmware revision
- Knowledge of AWS cloud security and architecture concepts, including network segmentation, perimeter security, event monitoring
- High attention to detail and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong knowledge of project management
- Excellent self-motivation skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude an asset
- Advanced communication, people skills and ability to work in a team environment is essential
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
- Understanding of Database technologies like MySQL/PostgreSQL, and MongoDB/DynamoDB
- Good understanding of Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Strong problem solving and Root Cause Analysis
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science/Electronics/ Networking required
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, deploying, and monitoring cloud systems
- Minimum of 1 year working with AWS
- Experience in management and operations of systems on AWS
- Strong track record of delivering on successful customer focus interactions and positive resolutions
- Proven project management experience
- AWS Professional or Associate Certifications preferred
- Expertise in AWS technologies, Lambda, S3, AWS IAM Role, Code Commit, Beanstalk, DynamoDB/Redshift, EMR, Lambda, Storage, S3, EBS, Storage, CloudTrail, CloudWatch
- Experience with IoT infrastructure, technologies, and protocols such as MQTT, TCP/IP and HTTP
- Experience in scalability, fault-tolerance, benchmark, and performance tuning of IoT platforms
- Experience with deployment automation in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
