Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Central Fill Assistant to join our team at Neighbourly BC Central Fill Solutions in Burnaby, BC.

The schedule will include weekday shifts, including evenings, and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible for performing specific central fill functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.
  • Assemble prescription medications in compliance with the company's quality and productivity standards.
  • Assemble the products continuously and repetitively in a clean environment.
  • Pulling, counting, labelling, and compounding prescriptions.
  • Preparation of compliance packaging for LTC homes.
  • Operation of automated packaging equipment.
  • Inventory, ordering, processing, and receiving.
  • Preparation of orders, checking and fixing packaging before delivery.
  • Handle small materials for assembly.
  • Keep the workplace clean, neat, and professional.
  • Carry out checks to ensure the quality of the work done.
  • Identify problems and causes related to production and notify your supervisor.
  • Propose continuous improvement methods.
  • Ensure manufacturing process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Requisition of supplies and materials.
  • Perform production processes both accurately and timely.
  • Prepare production reports.
  • Manage operation machinery aligned with the computer system.
  • Provide strategic solutions to ensure production objectives are met.
  • Miscellaneous tasks to support the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacists, and central fill operations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred
  • Experience in a Central Fill setting or Long-Term Care Pharmacy is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Synmed automation systems (or similar automated dispensing systems) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Kroll pharmacy software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
