About the Role: Are you a relationship-builder at heart who thrives on keeping partners engaged, informed, and delighted? Do you love managing multiple accounts, tracking deliverables, and collaborating cross-functionally to get results? If so, you could be our next Partnerships Specialist.

In this role, you’ll serve as the dedicated account manager for a portfolio of ICC’s Canoo program partners—organizations that offer meaningful benefits to newcomers to Canada, in Western Canada. You’ll act as the primary liaison, ensuring that partners’ needs are met, agreements are fulfilled, and opportunities for engagement and growth are realized. This is not a sales role—it’s a strategic account management position, perfect for someone who can juggle details and relationships with equal ease. You’ll play a key role in retaining and growing our diverse partner network, helping them see value in every interaction and renewal.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of 100–200 partner accounts, including cultural venues, event partners, and promotional sponsors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners by delivering excellent service, proactive communication, and thoughtful engagement.
  • Respond to partner inquiries promptly, solve problems efficiently, and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Lead regular check-ins and reporting touchpoints to ensure satisfaction and alignment.

Deliverables & Contract Fulfillment

  • Ensure all contractual obligations (KPIs, SLAs, promotional commitments) are met on time and to standard.
  • Coordinate internal resources (e.g., marketing, legal, data, product, content teams) to fulfill partner deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sponsorship and promotional activity, ensuring partners stay informed and engaged.

Renewals & Retention

  • Own the partner renewal process—tracking timelines, identifying upsell opportunities, and recommending renewal strategies.
  • Support negotiations with partners in collaboration with senior leadership to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

Marketing & Content Strategy

  • Collaborate with the ICC’s Marketing Team and external partners to ensure the timely creation, production, and distribution of high-quality marketing and promotional materials.
  • Oversee the creation and testing of digital content, print materials, and event collateral, leveraging best practices, trends, and performance insights.
  • Ensure all partner campaigns and content align with ICC and Canoo brand guidelines while maintaining consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Develop and refine engaging content for newsletters, emails, websites, and social media to enhance audience engagement and optimize performance.
  • Utilize performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-throughs) to refine content strategies and improve future marketing initiatives.

Reporting & Insights

  • Track and analyze campaign performance and partner engagement for priority accounts.
  • Prepare regular reports with key metrics, insights, and recommendations to share with both internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Use data to support continuous improvement in partnership strategy and execution.

Travel

  • Travel approximately 25% of the time across Canada (including occasional overnight trips and visits to ICC’s Toronto office).

Who we’re looking for:

If you're someone who has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience,
  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, partnerships, sponsorships, or client services,
  • A track record of managing multiple partner relationships and juggling competing priorities with ease,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you know how to build trust, keep people in the loop, and problem-solve with confidence,
  • The ability to analyze performance metrics and turn data into actionable insights will be a key to your success in this role,
  • A keen eye for detail and a love for staying organized, meeting deadlines, and tracking progress,
  • A solid grasp of marketing deliverables and campaign coordination, and you enjoy seeing plans come to life,
  • Experience writing and editing content for newsletters, social media, websites, or promotional materials is an asset,
  • Experience in a nonprofit, cultural, or mission-driven environment is an asset, but not required,
  • Comfort working across departments and collaborating with designers, marketers, agencies, and product teams, and
  • The flexibility and enthusiasm to travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.

And if you’re excited by the idea of supporting newcomer inclusion, cultural participation, and social impact: then we’d love to hear from you.
