Some of what you will do: As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Staples Canada, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our B2B division, Staples Professional. You will be an integral part of the Staples Canada Enterprise Analytics team, working closely with the Staples Professional marketing, merchandising, and executive teams. Your primary responsibilities will include providing data-driven insights, marketing campaign support, post-campaign analysis and ongoing strategic guidance and recommendations to the Marketing team.

- Partner with the Staples Professional marketing team to identify data requirements for marketing campaigns as well as understand requests, prioritize, set clear expectations, and present learnings and insights.
- Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to provide insights and recommendations that optimize campaign targeting and effectiveness.
- Conduct thorough post-campaign analysis to evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Identify key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to enhance future campaign strategies.
- Enhance current reporting methodology and develop and maintain new interactive and actionable dashboards in Power BI and Looker to support marketing needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Staples Professional data analysis, providing guidance to colleagues and business partners.
- Bachelor degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Clear understanding of marketing KPIs with previous experience in marketing, B2B, or retail analytics.
- Strong technical expertise in data warehouse architecture, data models, database design and reporting layers as well as segmentation strategies.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience within a retail company and leveraging Salesforce is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, marketing analysis, or related roles.
- Extensive experience in conducting highly quantitative analytics and ability to review numbers, trends and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
- 3+ years of experience in advanced SQL and BI tools (Power BI); GCP/ BigQuery experience preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (Pyton, R) desirable.
