About the role

We're seeking talented Auto Claims Adjusters at all levels to become part of our innovative and supportive teams, both on-queue and off-queue. As an Auto Claims Adjuster at Intact, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact within our customer-focused claims operation.


We aim to align your experience and interests with exciting opportunities. Whether you’re managing simple to moderate claims on our on-queue teams, delving into complex cases—such as Commercial, Total Loss Focus, or Vacation Support—on our off-queue teams, or specializing in one of our unique off-queue Digitally Focused teams, your role will be essential. You’ll lead our customers through challenging times with empathy and exceptional listening skills, ensuring each claim is thoroughly investigated and resolved effectively.

Our roles offer exciting opportunities at our key locations in Mississauga, Toronto, and Ottawa.

What you'll do here:

  • Analyze the information gathered, determine liability, and review assessment of the automobile damages.
  • Thoroughly review Insured's policies to determine coverage.
  • Interview Insureds and/or witnesses to collect their statements of events to settle claims within your given authority level.
  • Provide quality service to external and internal customers.
  • Develop an action plan for conducting investigations by determining necessary information required to clarify and justify the claim.
  • Ensure timely follow up with and deliver expert communications to customers on the status of their claim.
  • Manage a pending of active claims from first notice of loss to closure


What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 1 years of experience as an auto claims adjuster for a P+C insurer
  • Strong understanding of the automobile claims process and customer journey
  • Proven investigative and problem-solving ability within claims management
  • Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sustain a high level of performance and productivity.
  • Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
