Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to drive business development and sales activities across Canada and North America. The role focuses on cutting-edge marine navigation, communication, and automation systems and is pivotal in expanding our market presence within the commercial shipping, offshore, and marine industries.
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell marine navigation, communication, and automation equipment, including radar, GPS, satellite communication systems (VSAT, Iridium, Inmarsat), electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS), bridge systems, and automation solutions.
- Understand client needs and recommend tailored products or system integrations.
- Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts aligned with market demands and client expectations.
- Build and expand a strong customer base, including shipowners, vessel operators, shipyards, port authorities, and marine contractors across Canada and neighboring North American markets.
- Lead contract negotiations and close deals that meet regional sales targets.
- Provide technical support and product demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions comply with regulatory and client requirements.
- Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting marine navigation and communication.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance visibility and identify new business opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine technology, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or technical roles within the marine, navigation, or communication sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of marine navigation and communication systems, with familiarity in automation technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and technical design software (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada or the United States.
