The Accounts Payable Administrator is a key member of our Finance team reporting directly to the AP Lead. In this role, you will support Atlantica’s operations by creating and maintaining strong supplier relationships with our clients and contractors.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Lead and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices and employee expense claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts, verifying approvals and coding.
- Manage vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, EFTs, wires)
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Support month-end closing by preparing AP accruals and account reconciliations
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to resolve inquiries
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Assist with management by providing data on ad hoc requests.
- Continuously look for process improvements and efficiencies within AP functions
- Perform other duties as required.
Education And Experience
- A degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting, preferred
- Two (2) years’ experience with Accounts Payable
- Financial experience in a multi-company environment is considered an asset
- Experience and proficiency with MS Office required (Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience and proficiency with Jonas Accounting software is an asset
- Proficiency with any accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to present information effectively and be persuasive.
- A positive work ethic with a focus on company success and efficiency.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and able to adapt to organizational changes as they occur.
- Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and works effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Capable of operating in uncertain or less-defined environments while planned changes are being implemented.
