Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in urban planning, rural planning, community planning or some other specialty relevant to town planner positions.
Note
The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Eligible to obtain registration status as a full member in a Canadian professional urban planning institute.

- Experience in collecting a wide range of information from different clients and sources, developing comprehensive urban planning reports, consultation documents or presentations.
- Experience in developing methodologies, guidelines or tools in order to support the development of land-use and environmental planning documents and related assessments.
- Experience in providing analysis and advice to senior urban planners in support of their work.

- Willing and able to travel throughout Canada.
- Willing and able to visit buildings, sites, construction sites, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
