Rotation/Shifts
Days, 8 hour shifts, (08:00-16:00)
- For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.
- High school diploma (Grade 12);
- One (1) year of work experience within a Health Records Environment;
- Customer service experience;
- Experience in handling confidential patient information;
- Experience applying EMPI registration standards;
- Successful completion of TOH medical terminology self-directed learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
- Data Entry (4000 keystrokes/hour);
- Comfortable/adept working with Ottawa Hospital computer applications;
- Above-average organizational skills with a high degree of personal initiative;
- Above-average computer literacy with interfaced software systems;
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and apply strong analytical skills;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Close attention to detail;
- Familiar with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act;
- General knowledge of the Ottawa Hospital clinical record content;
- Basic math skills;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
