Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor. This position is responsible to ensure the kitchen is properly prepared for service and maintaining all company standards and adhering to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcome work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the Kitchen is properly prepared for service. Including but not limited to, creating prep lists, prepping, cooking and/or baking all items on the list, and pulling frozen items so they are ready for service
  • Prep all items with strict adherence to specifications in a safe and sanitary manner
  • You will be required to multitask, while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Putting orders away
  • Working in the food service outlets
  • Helping in the dish room
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

  • High School diploma or a minimum of one (1) year related work experience
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knife handling skills
  • The ability to work evenings, weekends and shift work

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, major exposure to heat, cold steam, noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, some exposure to fumes, smoke, chemicals, risk of minor cuts and burns, non-traditional work hours.
