Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality is responsible for developing and executing of strategies to drive exceptional product quality, ensure compliance and increase customer satisfaction beyond expectations. This includes recruitment, training and development of a highly qualified team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), managing supplier selection, supplier auditing, supplier development, and key Supplier Quality metric reporting to meet overall quality and business goals. You will lead our supplier quality assurance program, to include responsibility for developing and maintaining supplier quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that our global supply base consistently delivers high-quality, compliant components for our engineered and configured-to-order products, with a strong focus on engine systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality management systems and processes
  • Evaluate, select, and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams
  • Lead supplier audits, assessments, and corrective action processes
  • Monitor supplier performance using key metrics, including Supplier defects and deviations, PPAP qualifications, Cost of Quality (COQ), and
  • Track and drive closure of supplier corrective actions and ensure timely response to quality issues
  • Analyze supplier audit scores and compliance rates to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage supplier quality documentation and reporting

  • Supplier NC’s / SDR’s
  • Supplier score cards
  • PPAP qualifications
  • Cost of Quality (COQ) from suppliers
  • Number and closure rate of supplier audits & corrective actions
  • Supplier response time to quality issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering, (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in supplier quality management within industrial manufacturing
  • Background with reciprocating engine components and their manufacturing processes and systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001) and tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D)
  • Experience with engineered and configured-to-order products
  • Proven track of successful leadership and project management assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
