Operations Supervisor
Location: 454 Dobbie Dr, Cambridge, ON N1T 1S7
Hours to start: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Position will transition to a continental shift in 3 to 4 months time and the hours will be 5:00 am until 5:00pm)

Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

CMI is seeking a high-energy, hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead a team at our Cambridge yard. In this role, the Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met in alignment with company and customer expectations.

CMI is seeking a high-energy, hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead a team at our Cambridge yard. In this role, the Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met in alignment with company and customer expectations.

- Ensure all employees are properly trained and consistently adhere to regulatory requirements, legislative guidelines, and company health, safety, and environmental policies
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of team members to maintain smooth and efficient operations
- Monitor and manage employee productivity to support operational goals
- Oversee the accurate and timely receiving, inspection, and grading of materials
- Ensure materials are correctly packaged for shipment and meet all established quality standards
- Promote a strong customer service culture, ensuring both internal and external stakeholders receive exceptional support
- Drive performance by meeting or exceeding established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Other duties as assigned
- Post-secondary education in an Operations Program
- An insatiable curiosity for learning and discovering
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of applicable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or metal recycling facility
- Strong customer service skills aligned to meeting the needs of internal customers and employees to get things done; safely & efficiently
