We’re seeking a Marketing Manager with a passion for sustainability to join our remote-first team. As our first dedicated marketing hire, you’ll need a combination of strategic smarts and strong execution skills to hit the ground running.


Success in this role means driving measurable growth by increasing qualified leads (MQLs), driving brand awareness in our target sectors, and shaping the programs and processes that will allow us to scale. You’ll report to our Fractional CMO and work very closely with our CRO and sales team. We’re seeking a candidate who’s as comfortable in spreadsheets as they are in Canva, someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure brand-aligned execution as consistent measurement of ROI.


As GreenStep’s Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for all of GreenStep’s external marketing and communications. You’ll have ownership of an exciting portfolio within our growing organization and the ability to positively impact the environment every single day.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and content to drive MQLs and enable our sales team to do their best work
  • Manage and oversee the execution of external marketing and communications, including content, email, social media, advertising, sponsorships, partnerships and events
  • Own GreenStep’s events calendar, ensuring best-in-class execution at tradeshows, conferences and community events (quarterly travel may be required) 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launches, announcements, and external partnerships
  • Work hands-on in our CRM to ensure accuracy and visibility across all lead generation activity ROI and continuous improvement in marketing automation
  • Build out our content marketing function, working closely with our subject matter experts and freelance contributors
  • Manage relationships with vendors such as graphic designers, printers and small agencies and identify new vendors and resourcing strategies
  • Maintain the company’s brand and ensure all materials, including RFPs and client reports, meet GreenStep’s standard of excellence
  • Build and grow the marketing function in alignment with company expansion plans


Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, with direct experience in sustainability and/or tourism strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver digital marketing, social media, and content strategies that drive b2b leads
  • Top notch writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities maximizing the use of available tools
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation tools 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an asset


Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field is an asset. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Platform certifications will also be considered (LLMs, ads, analytics, CRM, etc.)
