We are looking to recruit a Housing Court Desk Caseworker with relevant experience to train up to provide comprehensive casework, advice and assistance to clients facing eviction or repossession.
The role, once trained, will involve: interviewing, supporting, and empowering clients; identifying emergency advice issues and providing advice on how to move forward with those issues; acting on behalf of clients by calculating, negotiating, drafting, or writing letters; ensuring income is maximised through benefits and grants checks; preparing cases to support in the advocating and attendance of cases in court under the supervision of the lead caseworker; assisting clients with other related issues integral to their case and referring them to other advisers or specialist agencies as necessary; providing advice and assistance to other staff and volunteers across a range of housing issues.
