Reporting to the Manager of Wellness, the Assistant Wellness Manager will work alongside the Manager Wellness to lead a clinical team to provide care support and services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform nursing duties to ensure clinical excellence at all levels in the care community
- Oversee clinical care processes to ensure that care is delivery according to the individual plans of care for residents
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of required clinical programs
- Identify nursing department learning needs and makes provisions for appropriate education to support clinical care program delivery and increase capacity building of team members
- Provide team members with regular feedback regarding performance though the probationary period and continuous performance evaluations
- Assist with the implementation and tracking of Infection Prevention and Control Program as required
- Promote an effective move-in and discharge process
- Support leaders with complex care issues or concerns to foster positive resident outcomes
- Contributes to the development of job routines for all nursing personnel
- Ensures clinical care is delivered in a manner that is resident centred and fosters evidence based best practice
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses or College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or equivalent post diploma education preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical nursing in seniors’ care that may include geriatric, long-term care, rehabilitation or chronic care setting
- Knowledge of Continuing Care Health Service Standards and Continuing Care Accommodation Standards
- Current CPR certification
