Job Summary
We are now seeking a visionary and values-driven leader to serve as our next President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to our Board Chair, Opreet Kang, the CEO is responsible for shaping and advancing Fraser Health’s strategic direction, operational excellence, and system leadership within British Columbia’s dynamic health landscape.
The CEO will lead an organization committed to delivering safe, equitable, and innovative care, embedding digital health transformation, and building strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, academic institutions, health partners, and the wider community.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, collaborative executive with a proven track record of leadership at scale within complex health or public sector organizations. You will demonstrate strategic vision, political acuity, and a deep commitment to advancing health equity, Indigenous reconciliation, and workforce innovation.
A skilled and confident communicator, you will be able to develop highly effective relationships to influence and deliver safe and sustainable patient care with provincial partners, community leaders, our physician community and our wider clinical, operational and administrative workforce. Experience in driving innovation, leading transformation, leveraging digital opportunities and system integration will be highly desirable.

Detailed Overview
The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible and accountable to formulate the strategic direction of the organization and effectively optimize resources to achieve objectives and Fraser Health performance requirements. Provides senior leadership ensuring the planning, implementation and evaluation of Fraser Health meets the health needs of individuals and our populations; and, that services are delivered within financial parameters.
Reporting to the Board Chair, the CEO advises on the strategic and operational planning and performance of Fraser Health. Responding and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, ensures Fraser Health's organizational structure and resource utilization aligns governance, leadership, management, and the provision of care and support services to overall objectives.
The CEO serves as a resource to the Board and assists the Executive Management Committee in developing strategies and policies to meet operational goals and transitional challenges of a fully integrated health system.
Responsibilities
Provides and joins in the leadership of the Executive Management Committee fostering and developing a cohesive senior leadership team to formulate and evaluate short and long term goals, objectives, strategies.
Ensures the development of human and capital resource plans, program and service structures support quality health care and supporting services and programs.
Leads the development of and communication of the vision, mission and values of Fraser Health.
Provides senior leadership to management, physicians, employees and caregivers in support of achieving the shared objectives of Fraser Health.
Leads, in conjunction with the Board, the development of strategies and action plans for the overall management and direction of the organization.
Provides leadership to the Executive Management Committee to formulate, implement and oversee the development and implementation of Fraser Health's strategic and operational plans.
Ensures the effective planning and managing of Fraser Health's people resources including volunteers, employees and physicians to support program and service needs.
Demonstrates personal acceptance of accountability for actions and outcomes, accuracy, and the appropriate custody and release of information to support ethical business practices.
Ensures the appropriate confidentiality of information, and mitigation of risks associated with fraud.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master's Degree in health administration, or a related discipline, fifteen (15) years' leadership at a senior level of a large complex organization(s), preferably in health care; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
