This person will oversee data infrastructure, governance, and analytics while driving business impact through data-informed decisions. Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Data & Analytics to lead our data function end-to-end. This person will oversee data infrastructure, governance, and analytics while driving business impact through data-informed decisions. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Pillway’s data and analytics function.
- Build and manage modern data infrastructure using tools such as Snowflake, MS Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, etc.
- Partner cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, Operations, Pharmacy) to drive data initiatives and KPIs.
- Design and implement data governance and compliance frameworks (PHIPA, HIPAA, PIPEDA).
- Oversee the development of dashboards, data products, and reporting layers for internal and external use.
- Guide the integration of data across APIs, cloud services, CRM, and pharmacy systems.
- Enable self-serve analytics capabilities for business teams.
- Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI/ML use cases to enhance personalization, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related leadership roles.
- Proven ability to architect and scale modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, MS Fabric, dbt, Airflow, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, warehousing (ELT/ETL), and data lakes.
- Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and orchestration tools.
- Track record of aligning data strategy with business goals and delivering measurable results.
- Familiarity with regulatory and privacy frameworks (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Prior experience in health tech, pharmacy, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and model deployment strategies.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.
