About The Role

We are looking for a Human Resources Consultant to join our HR Claims Quebec team. The position will report to the HR Manager. This is a permanent position based in Laval or Montreal.

With your experience and/or demonstrated interest in labor relations, HR expertise and collaborative style, you will play a key role in leveraging our service offer and supporting Intact’s strategic priorities.

What You'll Do Here

  • Provide professional HR coaching and advice to selected business groups, considering best practices and trends, and ensuring that HR management decisions and practices meet legislation as well as company rules and values.
  • Conduct investigations, assist managers in conflict management and any other employee relations issues.
  • Participate in the management committees of the assigned groups and be constantly aware of human resources management issues.
  • Collaborate and work with managers on talent management and development.
  • Search, analyze data and recommend potential solutions to a variety of tactical and operational issues in human resources management.
  • Participate in local or national projects.
  • Facilitate focus group, training workshops and information sessions for employees and/or managers.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Make salary recommendations based on compensation best practices.
  • Support Senior Consultants in all types of mandates.
  • Contribute to the HR process improvement.

What You Bring To The Table

  • University degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resource Management with three (3) years of experience in human resources, in an advisory role.
  • Ability to evolve in a multi-site, matrix organization and in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to have a global vision to guide decisions and outcomes.
  • Rigor, analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Knowledge in many areas of human resources including performance management and labour relations, disability management, compensation, change management and talent management.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
  • CHRP designation.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
