Is this role right for you?
- Work with the Director and leadership team to create strategic opportunities for new solutions or improvements.
- Increasing effectiveness and quality of non-retail risk reporting using standardized metrics and templates.
- Assessing data and risk management for new reports based on business requirements.
- Leading initiatives to improve analytical programs, efficiencies, analysis, report generation times, and migration to common platforms.
- Managing timelines and delivery to align with reporting or project deliverables.
- Designs non-regulatory reporting, alerts, dashboards, data models, automated data extraction processes and other end-user information portals or resources, as well as responding to ad-hoc requests enabling fact-based decisions (based on analysis of past data) for business stakeholders.
- Capable of analyzing intricate business problems and issues by utilizing data from both internal and external sources to provide valuable insights to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns within datasets to determine root causes and drivers. Facilitates storytelling to ensure that insights are conveyed in a meaningful and relevant manner to key partners and stakeholders.
- Recommend solutions and takes a design focus when planning end-to-end build of processes and/or programs (based on business needs), ensuring compliance with Business Intelligence framework and methodology.
- Oversee testing enhancements / changes to existing data sources and identifying, monitoring and communicating data quality issues.
- Effectively determine, allocate and manage resources among multiple projects/deliverables.
- Effectively communicating with GRM, IT&S, Finance, Audit, Retail, Credit and Banking groups.
- A minimum of five or more years of progressive, relevant and practical experience with world class organizations, preferably with financial institutions, in information management fields, and a proven track record of success in implementing effective information systems that support and generate profitable and informed decision-making in the financial services sector.
- Ability to lead multiple projects, coordinate activities with various stakeholders in a timely, organized manner
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and risk reporting, with experience in banking for financial services
- Experience in leveraging AI and Machine learning to enhance reporting automation, predictive analytics and risk assessment
- Innovate to streamline processes and enhance effectiveness.
- Experience effectively working in a global matrix team, across a range of functions, seniority and geography.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Cloud platforms and other tools to develop and optimize risk reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures, and query optimization, with the ability to work with large datasets and troubleshoot data issues.
- Strong ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient reporting and analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in project management, able to manage timelines and deliverables to align with team objectives. Capable of handling multiple projects and activities in an organized and timely manner.
- Knowledge of the Bank's policies, technical applications, and financial systems is valuable.
- Capability to understand new concepts, tools, and technologies efficiently, with a willingness to learn and adapting in a dynamic environment
- Advanced graduate degree (ideally in mathematics, business administration, technology, statistics or equivalent). Previous Banking and/or Credit experince is desireable. CFA, FRM designation an asset.
