We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Corporate Practice in Western Canada —a collaborative, high-energy team helping some of the world’s most respected organizations navigate complex issues, activate purpose-driven storytelling, and engage multi-stakeholder audiences through integrated communications strategies.

Edelman’s Corporate Practice is looking for an Account Manager with 3–4 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and public relations.

Your experience will include knowledge of, and the ability to support clients with, media relations, employee engagement, reputation and issues management, and/or executive profile building. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and project management skills and have a track record of executing successful client programs that measurably support business objectives. You should be well-versed in current events, media channels, and social platforms. Experience using AI tools is considered an asset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, developing, and managing the tactical implementation of client programs.
  • Owning day-to-day client relationships and managing program execution, while providing effective project leadership.
  • Proactively contributing to the development and growth of client accounts.
  • Developing and editing communications plans with a demonstrated understanding of client business and communication objectives.
  • Developing and editing corporate communications materials.
  • Overseeing program tracking and monitoring, and providing ongoing strategic analysis of program results.
  • Leading earned media initiatives and maintaining strong relationships with media.
  • Beginning to manage billing processes and account profitability on smaller accounts.
  • Effectively using AI to help drive efficient delivery of client work.

Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of progressive experience; agency experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client projects and effectively manage and engage internal account teams.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and support fellow team members; experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams is a significant asset.
  • Experience developing strategic external and internal corporate communication plans.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and presentation abilities, with the capacity to translate complex ideas into plain language for clients.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, as well as AI platforms such as ChatGPT and CoPilot.
