Richelieu Hardware is a market leader in the distribution of specialty hardware, woodworking supplies, and specialty construction products, serving furniture manufacturers, cabinetmakers, renovation superstore chains, and purchasing groups. We are currently seeking a General Warehouse Associate to join our Lumber and Sheet Goods Department. The successful candidate will assist with general warehouse duties efficiently and accurately.

Expected Hours: 40 per week
Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Provide superior customer service and retrieve orders.
- Assist in gathering materials to build loads/orders.
- Assist truck drivers to load various building supplies onto trucks for delivery.
- Operate the forklifts once training and certification has been achieved.
- Help unload transport trucks with product.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) software for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Practice proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to inventory.
- Keep the workspace area clean and presentable in appearance.
- Current Forklift Certification.
- Good knowledge of safe working procedures.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
- Professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years previous warehouse work experience.
- Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
- Dependable and reliable.
- RF Scanner and WMS software experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in building materials.

- Frequent reaching, holding, and grasping with hands when loading and unloading product.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 115 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
