The Computer Science department at the University of Alberta, in affiliation with the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), is seeking applications for 2–3 PhD or MSc student positions beginning in January 2026. The successful candidates will join a newly established research lab focused on Artificial Intelligence in Education and Human–AI Interaction.
Requirements
– A strong academic background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human–Computer Interaction, Educational Technology, Data Science, or related fields.
– Demonstrated interest or experience in AI in Education and/or Human–AI Interaction.
– Motivation to conduct independent and collaborative research.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
