Mission
As a Junior Environmental Monitor, you will support the implementation of the Project Environmental Management System (EMS), Environmental Plans, and specialized monitoring programs, including noise and vibration. You will work closely with environmental and engineering teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project obligations, while gaining hands-on experience in field monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
This position may also assist with regulatory permits and reporting as required by project needs and in training of personnel in the respectful stewardship of completing the construction project with minimal impact to wildlife and biology.
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This position may require travel to various project sites
Profile
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of experience with specialization in Environmental Sciences
