As a volunteer, youll work hands-on with a variety of exotic and native Hawaiian speciesfeeding, cleaning, maintaining habitats, and supporting enrichment activities. While the work is physically demanding, its incredibly rewarding, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the care and well-being of animals that require special attention and sanctuary.
Located on the lush and diverse Big Island, the sanctuary provides a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path experience where your days are filled with purposeful tasks and your free time is yours to explore volcanoes, beaches, waterfalls, and vibrant island culture. Volunteers typically work five days a week, with two days off to relax or adventure. This is not just a beach escapeits a chance to make a tangible impact in wildlife care while living in paradise.
