As a key member of Finance organization, the Gogo Accounting Supervisor, is a high-energy, detail-oriented, dynamic person with a desire to add value to Gogo. This role will perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards (GAAP) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements
The ideal candidate has experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, supervisory experience, reviewing journal entries, and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. The Accounting Supervisor will work on a wide range of accounting projects and ensure that accurate, timely, and transparent accounting and reporting is delivered on a consistent basis

How will you make a difference?
- Coordinate your teams’ work activities with Sr. Accounting Manager, and set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
- Supervise, develop, and support team objectives and key results and ensuring that all deadlines are appropriately managed
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries
- Key member of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Use judgement to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems with guidance from Sr. Accounting Manager
- Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives around month-end close, accounting processes and procedures, and financial analysis
- Participate in internal and external audits by reviewing audit schedules, ensuring appropriate documentation, and providing evidence of controls performed
- Partner with key departments within the Company to understand internal processes and ensure completeness and accuracy within the financial statements
- 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
- CPA Certificate/CPA candidate is a plus
- ERP systems experience, Microsoft Navision a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP and PCAOB standards, current accounting regulations and familiarity with internal controls
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills required
- Effective problem solving; methodical, detail-oriented and analytical approach to issue resolution
- Solid attention to details with analytical, organizational and research abilities
- Experience in evaluating and streamlining processes and systems, developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve operational efficiencies
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Organized and able to work independently and with a team, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication and messaging skills
- Be comfortable using computers and software including, but not limited to, accounting and management information systems, spreadsheets and databases
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the Accounting team
