We are currently seeking candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.



About This Position

We are seeking an experienced and successful junior real estate paralegal professional who will lead real estate work streams on multiple large scale projects, including land diligence efforts in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager. 


Overview of Department 

Our growing Land Due Diligence team is the nexus where most all of the other team disciplines meet.  Currently, Land Due Diligence is a team of 1 Senior Manager, 1 Manager, 2 Surveyor Advisors and 2 Title Resolution Specialists, and we’re seeking a qualified junior real estate paralegal to manage certain workstreams to prepare our projects for financing, through deep collaboration with development, engineering, permitting, real estate legal and land acquisitions.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Take primary ownership of placing title report orders, maintaining a detailed title status tracker. Prepare status report for Land Due Diligence ("Land DD") leadership for weekly project calls
  • Take primary ownership of placing Phase I/ESA report orders, maintaining a detailed Phase I/ESA status tracker.
  • Prepare status report for Land DD leadership for weekly project calls
  • Coordinate processing of SOWs for Phase I/ESAs
  • Assist Land DD with electronic retention of due diligence deliverables to G drive and Evisort
  • Assist Land DD leadership with financial closing matters, including but not limited to tracking of near closing outstanding diligence items, preparation of closing document signature pages, coordinate execution of closing documents, tracking and saving executed closings documents, track and save post closing deliverables
  • Assist Land DD leadership with land closings, including but not limited to preparing land closing checklists, updating land closing checklists as closing progresses, tracking of outstanding closing diligence items, preparation of closing document signature pages, coordinate execution of closing documents, tracking and saving executed closings documents, track and save post closing deliverables


Qualifications and Skills
  • Well versed in understanding the universe real estate due diligence items, including but not limited to title commitments, ALTA surveys, Phase I/ESA reports, etc
  • 3+ years of real estate development or renewable energy experience closing real estate transactions, including fee acquisitions and option exercises, financings of utility scale projects, ALTA survey management through financing, assessment of title risk and title resolution, hazardous materials investigations and remediation, and other real estate diligence activities
  • Attention to detail while working quickly under pressure
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Independent and self-directed


The following are helpful, but not required:
  • Experience working with county, state and federal agencies;
  • Real Estate legal and/or field landman experience;
  • Prior project management experience; and/orExperience reviewing and/or writing mineral title opinions

Physical and Sensory Requirements

  • Position is part of a remote team, with regular electronic and video communication
  • Position requires some travel for company-wide meetups: :4 weeks total through a calendar year.

  • Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 USD ($158,081- 172,452 CAN) base salary with 20-25% annual target bonus
