Responsibilities

JOIN OUR TEAM The primary purpose of the position is to efficiently act as a culinary artist. The Cook 2 will prepare food for buffets, line a la carte and banquets, and assist with production of all salads and desserts. The Cook 2 will create appealing, delicious dishes as per Canad Inns specs and standards. The Cook may also assist Chefs with menu engineering. The Cook 2 will ensure all guests receive a dish with a quality presentation. The Cook 2 may be required to complete job tasks related to the Food Service Receiver, Kitchen Steward and Buffet Attendant/Prep Cook position. Responsibilities:

  • Seeking to understand the guest, and meet and exceed the needs of both the guest and the company.
  • Ensure that work is accurate, thorough, and to the highest standards.
  • Demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and follow through to get the required results.
  • Constantly assess and adapt current practices to perform a task better, faster, or more efficiently.
  • Value and remain open to new ideas and perspectives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Previous experience.
