High Angle Rescue Technician (Casual)

Role: High Angle Rescue Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform high angle rescue stand-by
• Facilitate rescues in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working at heights, high angles, or in confined spaces.
• Develop site-specific rescue plans for high-angle rescue.
• Perform risk assessments, preparing rescue equipment, and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe work practices.
• Perform inspections on rescue equipment (according to manufacturers’ instructions) to ensure all equipment is ready to use.
• Perform on-site safety watch, confined space entry watch and atmospheric testing, spark/fire watch, and gas detection, as required.
• Provide support to ensure that all personnel on-site work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety
• Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client’s health and safety program, Kinetic Safety’s HSE program, and all other applicable legislation.

To be considered, you must hold the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years experience in high-angle rescue operations within the oil & gas industry.
• Must hold a valid High Angle Rescue certification (non-transferrable tickets are not accepted)
• Must also hold the following valid safety certifications: Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space Rescue, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, H2S Alive, and Fire Watch.
• Excellent physical condition to be able to perform rescues and the ability to perform strenuous activities in various environments.
