Position Summary
The Gate/Access Attendant will make the first impression to members and guests. They will control access to the club by checking vehicles for proper access to the Club and allowing entry only to members, designated guests and employees. Primarily, this person will monitor the parking facilities to ensure the security of member/guest vehicles, reporting suspicious activity, ensuring only valid vehicles are parked in the parking facility. In addition to physical access control, this role includes the operation and management of the Club’s credential management system, guest access processing, and member support in RFID and Club app technology.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Greets members, guests, vendors, and staff in a friendly, courteous manner
- Operate and maintain the Club's access control and credential management computer system.
- Review, process, and email guest credential requests submitted by members, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Provide support to members in using RFID access technology and the Club’s mobile application, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Edit and update member and guest profiles within the access control system.
- Monitor parking facilities and surrounding property; report suspicious activity and ensure proper parking practices.
- Secures premise by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
- Verifies all contractors and service providers by clearing proper identification and work authorizations
- Completes and maintains all appropriate access control logs and reports
- Performing routine inspections of specific areas
- Appropriately responds to telephone and radio calls, inquiries and emergencies
- Operates and assumes responsibility for proper function of access barriers system currently in place
- Takes initiative and use good judgement in emergency or suspicious situations. This involves resolving conflicts, documenting incidents, and contacting authorities when necessary
- Works in conjunction with the all departments to help exceed member expectations through communication of members and guests entering the property
- Maintain relationships with the other attendant so that all pertinent information is passed along to communication is kept fluid.
- Consistently the system in place for log /reservation information to keep a live count of guests registered and coming to the property
- Reports in writing all suspicious incidents/ activity around the Club to management, Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior
- Ensures awareness of all people on and or around the parking facility and reports suspicious persons or activity to management
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by manager.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- A qualification in security training and strong knowledge of de-escalation strategies
- Familiarity with digital systems or database management considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding surveillance skills
- Security Guard License considered an asset
- Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedure
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Operational knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Professional demeanor and appearance required
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- First-Aid and CPR
- Required to work outdoors
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including morning and afternoon hours on weekdays and weekends.
- Ability to patrol grounds on-foot- Physical strength and fitness
- Criminal background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process
