Project Manager – Healthcare Transformation Projects

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Project Manager who has worked on various HC projects, specifically an eReferral project, virtual care, Long-term care interRAI, and EMR/EHR (preferrable TELUS CHR) projects..
Responsibilities:
• Leading/managing transformational initiatives within the scope of the project;
o Leading change management efforts which includes identifying and assessing impacts technology for program/service delivery;
o Conducting consultations; o Facilitating and documenting key decisions;
o Communicating with key stakeholders;
o Project charter;
o Communication plan;
o Status reports;
o Schedule and resources;
o Project plan;
o Change requests;
o Risks and issues tracking log;
o Budget and financial plan;
o Lessons learned; and
o Operational hand off documentation;
• Project stakeholder engagement to develop, implement, and maintain structures for project governance and decision-making;
• Procurement and contractual agreements for the systems;
• Procurement management;
• Work with the Business Analyst and project team on the development of project requirements, scope and deliverables and ensuring the appropriate approvals are in place before proceeding with the project;
• The successful Proponent will review the current environmental state, via both documentation and information gathering and document any actions required to support implementation of the components and services; and
• Other materials as required by Government.
Qualifications:
• A minimum seven (7) years of demonstrated experience directly related to IT Enterprise Project Management managing large-scale projects that have organization wide impacts in a Health Care organization including how the modernized IT solution will impact the delivery of programs and services;
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects that significantly impact the delivery of clinical programs and services through modernized IT solutions;
• A minimum of five (5) years leading and managing complex change initiatives in a health environment and service delivery, such as digital transformation, patient flow or system-wide process improvement;
• Recent project experience in a similar role related to one of the following project areas:
o Large scale initiatives that directly impact patients and providers requiring robust change management strategies;
o System-wide initiatives related to system wide improvements or digital transformation projects related to patient flow or system optimization, care coordination, health system or service optimization;
o Projects enabling patient access to personal health information or enhancing patient engagement/experience.
o Implementation of digital health solutions supporting transitions of care and clinician collaboration (e.g., eReferrals, virtual care platforms);
o Implementations of Digital Health solutions
o i.e. Electronic Medical / Health Records; or Canadian LTC IMS deployments – ideally with PointClickCare (PCC) and interrail-LTCF.
• Experience working with government organizations or publicly funded health organizations and experience in similar projects is considered an asset;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment, establish priorities, and meet tight deadlines; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of individuals and groups including, executives, clinicians, technical teams, managers, and subject matter experts.
