  • Telecommunications and/or networking engineering technology diploma, or, any relevant combination of education and experience
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with maintenance, installation and operation of wide area and local networks including digital microwave, UHF, VHF, PLC, SCADA, RTUs and telephony
  • Experience with Optical OC3 Multiplex, OC3 fibre and T1 circuits
  • Experience with fibre optic cable splicing and termination
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of different network management and security protocols, routing and traffic analysis
  • Knowledge of network management and operation software
  • Knowledge of various standards for telecommunications transmission
  • Availability for working remotely based in a BC city with a medium to large airport
  • Asset: Knowledge of protection and control systems in an electric utility
  • Asset: Knowledge of major electrical equipment testing and commissioning procedures
