Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspections to requirements specified on purchase orders, drawings and work order travelers. They are responsible for completing inspection and calibration test reports, calibration of inspection and measuring equipment, and gathering, reviewing, scanning and filing of test reports. This role will also handle the non-conformances as part of our Quality Management System.
Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- ISO 9001 & 14001 Quality System Management
- Pressure Equipment Quality System Management
- Product Quality Control, process change requests and non-conformances.
- Work with suppliers on defective part returns
- Know and understand workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities.
- Perform work in accordance with IMW documented policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
- Post-Secondary education in a related field (industrial or mechanical engineering or technology, quality, operations) or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 & ISO14001 quality management systems requirements is preferred.
- Training as a LeadInternal auditor for ISO9001 and/or ISO14001.
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality-related role is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining and welding is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Regularly required to stand walk or sit; use hands to operate computers, office equipment; use vision and hearing dealing with communication and office materials.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software is an asset, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Ability to learn new programs as required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
