Working closely with the Toronto and Ottawa management teams, reporting to the Director of Communications, Operations, and as a member of the Communications Marketing team (primarily based at the head office in Montréal), the Senior Business Partner is responsible for positioning Pomerleau in the Ontario market to create brand awareness and support business growth.

What You Will Do
The Senior Business Partner has extensive experience in public and stakeholder relations and marketing and works with 1 other communication staff in Ontario. The key responsibilities of the role include:
Strategic Communications
- Develop, implement, measure and report on communication plans aligned with business priorities;
- Advise, coach local leaders and teams on their communications and stakeholder relations;
- Support management team by anticipating reputational risks and managing local crisis communications in collaboration with the head office.
- Identify opportunities to showcase Pomerleau’s expertise, people and innovations through thought leadership opportunities, conferences, sponsorships, public relations initiatives, and others;
- Develop relationships with industry publications and media; prepare spokespeople, develop key messages, etc.
- Collaborate with head office experts in Internal Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Donations and Sponsorships, etc.;
- Capture communications objectives and brief the Marketing team for content production, implementing new content production process;
- Collaborate with other regional Business Partners to leverage cross-Canada opportunities;
- Source and manage external vendors, when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field with 7 to 10 years of experience;
- Curious, avid learner, develops strong relationships with colleagues through excellent project execution;
- Ability to provide strategic advice to management, able to navigate complex situations;
- Autonomous and proactive, able to be both strategic and tactics-oriented;
- Solid English writing skills;
- Works best in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high growth environment.
