Agilus is recruiting for a HVAC Designer in the Industrial and Infrastructure Sectors in Burlington, Ontario.
As an HVAC Designer you'll be supporting the development of 2D/3D mechanical drawings, producing project deliverables, and ensuring that the designs are compliant with company, client and regulatiory standards.

As an HVAC Designer you'll be supporting the development of 2D/3D mechanical drawings, producing project deliverables, and ensuring that the designs are compliant with company, client and regulatiory standards.
A Typical Day
- Develop detailed mechanical design drawings in 2D and 3D environments, including layouts, sections, details, and equipment schedules for HVAC and utility systems.
- Produce design deliverables in accordance with project-specific requirements, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all design documentation, aligning with company and industry best practices.
- Design and coordinate HVAC systems and associated building utilities such as steam and condensate, natural gas, compressed air, domestic and chilled water, fire protection, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the successful execution of industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring constructability and integration with other systems.
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures, including Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- 2+ years relevant experience in Mechanical design drafting of building services including HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems designs in a consulting engineering environment.
- Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in AutoCAD software.
- Able to source and use vendor data, drawings, and information to develop designs.
- Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes relating to the design and systems for projects.
- Proven experience in Industrial, Institutional and Commercial projects is an asset.
