Duration: Maternity Leave Coverage Fixed Term Contract

Responsible for developing and/or writing communication material for a variety of internal and external audiences relevant to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).
Position Accountabilities:
This is a Hybrid position, with a mixture of working on-site a minimum of two (2) days per week and remotely.

Responsible for developing and/or writing communication material for a variety of internal and external audiences relevant to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).
Position Accountabilities:
- Provide support in the development of CREA’s editorial calendar.
- Plan and implement content layout according to content goals and in coordination with the design team.
- Provide support to the Communications team in the execution of strategic objectives involving members, leadership and the general public; develop compelling content to key audiences and per objectives.
- Impeccable writing and editing skills, able to deliver effective and engaging messaging in a variety of “voices”.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and recording of departmental key messaging.
- Help the development and distribution of CREA’s internal staff newsletter, the Catherine Street Chronicle.
- Ability to identify and analyze issues, events, and trends that provide opportunities or challenges for the organization to consider.
- Attend CREA events and tradeshows, as assigned, to engage with REALTOR members and promote CREA and relevant programs or campaigns.
- Ensure the creative content and production quality of communication materials are consistent with CREA’s values, policies, objectives and identity.
- Provide support as needed to CREA’s Director and Associate Director, Communications.
- Undertake any other reasonable communications tasks as assigned.
- Degree or diploma in communications, journalism, public relations, English or a related field;
- Strong writing and editing skills with at least three years’ related experience;
- A keen understanding of email best practices and the ability to identify storytelling opportunities;
- Strong strategic thinker, planner and advisor who combines sound judgment, common sense and experience in decision making;
- A passion for storytelling and creating engaging, high-quality content.
- Experience with email marketing, including journeys, audience building, segmentation and sentiment analysis;
- Experience creating content for social media platforms, including on-camera, and catering messaging to targeted audiences and objectives.
- A self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow-through;
- Ability to work in a tight deadline environment where priorities can shift quickly; and
- Exceptional English language skills, fluency in both official languages.
