Position Summary:
Reporting to the Support Services Supervisor, the Laundry Aide position is responsible for assisting in the laundry and housekeeping programs of the Home by maintaining set standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Position Summary:

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Grade 12 Education required;
- Experience in institutional cleaning;
- Experience in a geriatric setting;
- Ability to organize work routines and execute those routines
- Basic knowledge in disinfectant procedures;
- Be able to use many types of housekeeping equipment such as floor strippers, floor scrubbers, etc.;
- Be able to use industrial washers, dryers and label maker
- Meet physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions;
- Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
- To ensure the cleanliness of Glen Stor Dun Lodge meets the Ministry Inspection Protocols.
- To ensure clean linen and clothes are available to all residents by properly cleaning, folding and distributing.
- Meet the Laundry department Ministry Inspection Protocols
- The monitoring of linen supplies.
- Successful reference check (two work-related references, with a minimum of one being a direct supervisor)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of Certifications
