Position Summary
As the Director of Business Information Systems (Director BIS), you will play a strategic leadership role in overseeing enterprise applications and driving the digital transformation agenda. This role combines deep technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA and enterprise systems with visionary leadership to develop and implement innovative digital strategies across the organization. You will lead the Business Systems, Applications, and Digital Transformation functions, aligning technology solutions with operational goals, customer experience, and long-term business strategy.
You will report to senior leadership and work closely with functional heads across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain. Your mission will be to ensure high-performing, secure, and future-ready business systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Accountabilities
Enterprise Applications & SAP Leadership - Lead the strategic implementation and management of SAP S/4HANA and other core enterprise systems, ensuring their alignment with business processes and long-term goals.
Digital Transformation Strategy Execution - Define and drive a digital transformation roadmap using technologies like cloud, automation, AI, and data analytics to enhance productivity, innovation, and customer experience.
Data, Team, and Stakeholder Leadership - Oversee data governance and reporting architecture, lead a high-performing internal and vendor team, and collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business needs

Major Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of SAP S/4HANA and other core business systems.
- Oversee SAP configurations, integrations, upgrades, and system performance, ensuring alignment with business processes and goals.
- Manage SAP-related modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, and ensure optimal usage across departments.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of all ERP-related data and workflows.
- Define and execute a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
- Champion the use of cloud computing, data analytics, automation, and AI to improve productivity and competitiveness.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to modernize processes, drive innovation, and improve customer and employee experiences.
- Oversee enterprise data strategies, including integration, governance, and analytics platforms such as Power BI.
- Promote a data-driven culture by enabling reporting and visualization tools that empower decision-makers.
- Ensure that reporting systems provide real-time insights into business operations and KPIs.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of SAP analysts, application developers, and digital solution leads.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development pathways for internal team members.
- Manage relationships with external implementation partners, consultants, and software vendors.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to align system functionality with evolving business processes.
- Lead change management initiatives, including communication, training, and stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure all business applications adhere to internal IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity protocols, and industry regulations.
- Oversee risk mitigation strategies and maintain business continuity planning related to enterprise systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience managing enterprise systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience implementing and managing SAP S/4HANA in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives and change management efforts.
- Familiarity with reporting/BI tools such as Power BI and CRM systems such as Salesforce is an asset.
- Strong project management skills (PMP or Agile certification preferred).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
