Responsibilities
- Backlog Management – Skilled in prioritizing features, refining epics/stories, and maintaining delivery cadence across multiple squads
- Agile/Scrum Expertise – Strong facilitation of sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning in a POD-based model
- Roadmap Alignment – Ability to interpret and align features with broader strategic goals
- Retail/Pricing Domain Expertise – Understanding of retail/pricing domain and scalable pricing models and integration with legacy and digital platforms
- Mainframe to Cloud Migration – Experience coordinating technical migrations, decommissioning, and ensuring parity across platforms
- Systems Integration – Familiarity with complex ecosystems
- Solution Design Oversight – Competency in partnering with SA/BA/Dev/QA to validate estimates, design options, and integration paths
- Data-Driven Decision Making – Use of metrics, test results, and stakeholder feedback to guide backlog and investment decisions
- Risk & Dependency Management – Proactive in identifying blockers and coordinating resolution with cross-functional teams
- Client Communication – Proven ability to build trust with stakeholders, manage expectations, and lead through uncertainty
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Skilled in working across DevOps, QA, Architects, and external systems to ensure solution viability
- Clear Documentation & Reporting – Comfortable preparing updates, comparison matrices, and executive-level summaries
- Resilience Under Pressure – Ability to turn around red projects by removing bottlenecks and re-establishing delivery discipline
- Squad Empowerment – Focus on outcomes and team autonomy while ensuring accountability
- Be a trusted advisor to the customer, acting transparently and diligently to signal progress
- Creating and expressing a product vision, and decomposing the vision into executable backlog items in Scaled Agile, ensuring these pieces are grounded in value and connected to the realistic technical execution along with the Data Technical Lead
- Technical Lead, Quality Eng Lead, and others will assist with technical depth
- Become a trusted advisor to the AVP of architecture - working closely enough to gain trust, and therefore gain the room for this team to operate more freely
- Interface with multiple external client's project teams - being the key person leading those conversations, managing group dependencies, and collaborating on enterprise roadmaps along with them
- Decomposing the vision into executable backlog items in Scaled Agile, ensuring these pieces are grounded in value and connected to the realistic technical execution along with the Data Technical Lead
- Required to be onsite at customer office (located in Toronto), 4 days a week - M-Th)
- Knowledge on Blue Yonder Pricer tool is a plus
