Position Overview: Compugen is seeking a Information Security Consultant for a 2 month contract working remotely. Candidates must currently reside within Canada and be available to work CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security consultants play a critical role in identifying, developing, and implementing tailored security solutions to meet the unique needs of their clients. They are entrusted with safeguarding highly sensitive and valuable information, and must do so with the utmost diligence and professionalism.
- A key responsibility of a security consultant is the continuous assessment of potential threats. To ensure comprehensive protection, they monitor risks across a wide range of platforms, including email systems, databases, and websites.
- Clients depend on security consultants to maintain the integrity of their information. To build trust and transparency, consultants are expected to provide regular updates and detailed reports on their security efforts and findings.
- Security consultants are also responsible for managing and implementing encryption tools within an organization. Encryption is one of the most effective methods for protecting data, rendering it unreadable to unauthorized users and significantly reducing the risk of data breaches.
- Expertise in Zero Trust architecture, with a strong focus on identity-centric access control, micro-segmentation, continuous trust validation, and context-aware policy enforcement.
- Hands-on experience applying security frameworks such as CIS Controls and NIST SP 800-207 to design and implement robust enterprise security architectures.
- Proven ability to develop strategic security roadmaps and architectural plans for complex, large-scale environments.
- Skilled in producing comprehensive security architecture documentation, including threat models, architectural overviews, and control mapping artifacts.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of effectively engaging executive leadership and technical teams.
- Adept at evaluating and resolving complex architectural trade-offs, particularly in scenarios involving ambiguity or evolving requirements.
