The Global Finance Transformation team enables the execution of key strategic projects and major initiatives focused on supporting all bank strategy. One of the team’s primary goals is to collaborate across the function to create and enhance our capacity and capabilities while identifying and supporting initiatives which improve our operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of Global Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of Global Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Govern over multiple project workstreams to enable program / project execution, including leading exploratory sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional team members and subject matter experts.
- Develop and maintain program project plan to manage deliverables and related timelines.
- Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and implementation plans to ensure impactful program outcomes. Perform strategic and business analysis, identifying key issues and proposing recommendations.
- Develop and deliver high-impact presentations for senior executives and other leadership stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of program goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Support the execution and ongoing management of initiatives through objective reporting.
- Support the development and execution of long-term strategic plans that align with organizational goals and all-bank strategy.
- Identify and evaluate areas of opportunity, working cross-functionally to ensure strategic initiatives are well developed and integrated.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.
- Support the Director in driving the execution and ongoing management of strategic planning for Global Finance.
- Other ad hoc strategic support, as necessary.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Skills
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in business or accounting; MBA or graduate business degree
- Experience in management consulting or corporate strategy development, execution and project management preferred but not required.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
- Ability to break a problem into logical parts with structured thinking.
- Superior interpersonal skills, leadership, and influential capabilities
- Self-motivated; work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and member
- Exceptional planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business issues.
- Highly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, and external vendors.
- Exceptional presentation and written communication skills
- Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management.
- Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
